UPSC Shortlisting Modalities
If the commission receives a high volume of responses, it will use specific screening methods to restrict interview numbers to a manageable scale:
- Filtering applications based on higher educational qualifications than the standard baseline requirement.
- Evaluating candidates based on the possession of Desirable Qualifications (DQ) or specific lengths of postgraduate experience in relevant clinical fields.
- Factoring in structural experience metrics acquired either before or after obtaining the core professional registration credentials.
- Recruitment Test (RT): Organizing a dedicated computer-based screening or written Recruitment Test to filter the applicant pool systematically.
